We’ve already gone through the first five dating tips on what to do when you date a girl on part one of this article.  Now it’s time to top off that list with the other essentials that you need to keep in mind when going out.  So without further ado, part two of the list on what to do when you date a girl.

6.  Always laugh at their jokes! – Even if their jokes are a hundred years old or they’re as funny as a lobotomy, just laugh at them.  Make sure to make your laughter sound genuine too, nothing ruins a night more than someone getting caught with a fake laugh. By doing this, you’re conveying to the woman that you’re actually interested in what she’s having to say and not just her looks.

7. Get to know your date! – When you date a girl, the ultimate goal really is to get to know that person better, of course I’m assuming here that you’re out on a date with that girl for serious reasons (that’s why you’re reading this!) Listen to what she has to say and ask the appropriate questions.  Nothing turns a woman on more than a man who knows how to listen.  While this is not a simple task to do, try and really get to know your date.  Ask where she’s from, what she does for a living, her hobbies, her dreams and so on… and don’t forget to listen to the answers and ask follow-up questions as well!  It doesn’t need to be an interview, you just need to…

8. …Keep the conversation alive! – Nothing is worse when you date a girl and all you do is sit there in awkward silence.  That’s why you need to ask questions and actually listen to the answers. If you lapse into that awkward silence, she might think that you find her boring or you aren’t interested in her because you’re not making effort to get to know her better.  More talk and less staring I always say.

9. Be honest! – This is probably where most men fail when they’re dating.  For some reason, men always like to pretend that they’re something they’re not.  Don’t pretend to be some rich or popular guy, just be yourself.  If you’re really serious in pursuing a relationship with the woman you’re out with then be sure to be truthful not only to them but also to yourself.  In the end, if the relationship works out, you will still have to show your true colors and many a relationship has been destroyed because of lies told early in the relationship.  Built on trust and honesty so if you ever get to the serious part of the relationship then nothing can stand in your way.

10. And finally, Be Safe – While this may come as an afterthought, when you date a girl for the first time, always let a friend know where you’re going and what time you’re supposed to be back. You are with a stranger after all, you never know if you’re out with the sweetest girl on the block or Jane the Ripper.
